Adverbs of Place
Adverbs of place tell where an action happens: here, there, everywhere, outside, inside, up, down, away.
Come here.
The children are playing outside.
Look up!
He went away.
Unlike prepositions, adverbs of place do not need a noun after them.
Adverbs of place usually come after the verb or after the object: She looked everywhere.
Common mistake: Confusing "here/there" (adverbs, no noun) with "in/on" (prepositions, need a noun). Say "Come here," not "Come in here" unless you mean inside.
