Present Perfect Continuous
Use have/has been + verb-ing for an action that started in the past and is still continuing (or just stopped), stressing how long.
I have been studying for three hours.
She has been waiting since morning.
They have been playing all afternoon.
Often used with for (a length of time) and since (a starting point): for two hours, since 9 a.m.
Common mistake: Using it with state verbs (know, like). Say "I have known him for years," not "I have been knowing."
