Subject & Object
In a sentence, the subject does the action and the object receives it.
Subject → Verb → Object - Ali kicks the ball. (Ali = subject, the ball = object) - She reads a book. - The cat drinks milk.
To find them: ask "Who does it?" = subject; "What/whom?" after the verb = object.
In English the subject comes before the verb and the object comes after it (Subject–Verb–Object).
Common mistake: Putting the object first ("Milk the cat drinks"). Keep S–V–O order: "The cat drinks milk."
✏️ Test Yourself
1. The cat drinks milk.
2. Sara loves music.
3. The boy threw the ball.
4. We eat rice.
