Tag Questions
A tag question is a short question added to the end of a statement to confirm it. A positive statement takes a negative tag, and vice-versa.
You are coming, aren't you?
She can't drive, can she?
They left, didn't they?
It's cold, isn't it?
Match the helping verb and reverse positive/negative: "You like tea, don't you?"
Common mistake: Using the wrong helper or the same polarity: "You are ready, are you?" → "You are ready, aren't you?"
