Types of Adjectives (distributive, indefinite, definite)
Adjectives describe nouns; three useful kinds are: - Distributive — point to members of a group one by one: each, every, either, neither. - Indefinite — give a non-specific amount: some, any, many, few, several. - Definite (numeral) — give an exact number or order: one, two, first, second.
Each student has a book. (distributive)
Some people left early. (indefinite)
I read two books. (definite)
Distributive = one-by-one (each/every). Definite = exact number. Indefinite = vague amount.
Common mistake: Using a plural noun after each/every. They take a singular noun: "each student," not "each students."
