'Whose' & Possessive Pronouns
Whose asks about the owner. We answer with a possessive pronoun: mine, yours, his, hers, ours, theirs. These stand alone (no noun after them).
Whose book is this? — It's mine.
Is this pen yours? — No, it's hers.
That car is theirs.
Possessive pronouns have no noun after them (it's mine), unlike possessive adjectives which do (my book).
Common mistake: Adding a noun after a possessive pronoun ("It's mine book"). Say "It's mine" or "It's my book."

1. Whose bag is this? (I)
2. Whose car is that? (they)
3. Whose pen is it? (she)
4. Whose house is this? (we)
