Role Plays
A role play is when you act out a real-life situation with a partner. It is a safe, fun way to practise speaking English before you use it in real life.
Role play 1: Meeting a new friend - A: Hi, I'm Sara. What's your name? - B: I'm Ali. Nice to meet you. - A: Where are you from? - B: I'm from Turbat. And you?
Role play 2: At the market - A: How much are the apples? - B: Fifty rupees per kilo. - A: I'll take two kilos, please.
Practise both roles (A and B). Saying both sides prepares you for real conversations.
Common mistake: Reading the lines without feeling. Use a natural voice and look at your partner — it builds real confidence.
✏️ Test Yourself
1. "What's your name?"
2. "Where are you from?"
3. "How old are you?"
4. "Nice to meet you."
