Capitalization Rules
A capital (uppercase) letter is used in specific places. Everything else uses small letters.
Use a capital letter for: - the first word of a sentence — The sun is hot. - names of people — Ali, Sara - places — Karachi, Pakistan - days and months — Monday, June - titles — Doctor, Mr. - the word I, always.
My friend Ali lives in Karachi.
We meet on Monday in June.
The word I is always a capital, anywhere in a sentence: "Yesterday I was busy."
Common mistake: Not capitalizing days, months, or country/city names. Write Friday, June, Turbat — not friday, june, turbat.
✏️ Test Yourself
1. ali is from turbat.
2. i go to school on friday.
3. we visit karachi in december.
4. my name is sara.
