Intonation: Rising & Falling Tones
Intonation is the music of your voice — it rises or falls. It usually falls at the end of statements and wh-questions, and rises at the end of yes/no questions.
You're from Turbat. ↘ (falling — statement)
Are you from Turbat? ↗ (rising — yes/no question)
Where do you live? ↘ (falling — wh-question)
Yes/no questions rise at the end; statements and wh-questions fall.
Common mistake: Flat, toneless speech. Using rising/falling tones makes you sound natural and shows whether you're asking or telling.
