Introducing Yourself
To introduce yourself means to tell people who you are. This is one of the most useful things you can learn to say.
Use these sentences in order: - My name is ___. - I am ___ years old. - I am from ___. - I am a student / teacher / ___. - Nice to meet you.
Example dialogue - A: Hello! My name is Sara. What is your name? - B: Hi Sara, I'm Ali. Nice to meet you. - A: Where are you from, Ali? - B: I'm from Turbat. And you? - A: I'm from Karachi.
Smile and look at the person. Speaking slowly and clearly is better than speaking fast.
Common mistake: Saying "I have 12 years." Use the verb be for age: "I am 12 years old."
