Spelling Names
To spell a word means to say its letters one by one. People ask this when they need to write your name correctly.
- A: What's your name? - B: Sara. - A: How do you spell it? - B: S – A – R – A.
Ali → A – L – I
Khan → K – H – A – N
Hope → H – O – P – E
Some letters sound similar, so say them clearly: B/P, M/N, F/S.
Practise spelling your own name, your father's name, and your city out loud — you will need these often.
Common mistake: Mixing up double letters. For "book," say "B – O – O – K" — remember the two O's.
