Seasons & Their Characteristics
A season is a part of the year with its own weather.
| Season | Weather | Months (roughly) |

| Spring | warm, flowers grow | March–May |
| Summer | hot and sunny | June–August |
| Autumn (Fall) | cool, leaves fall | September–November |
| Winter | cold, sometimes rain/snow | December–February |
In summer it is hot, so we drink cold water.
In winter it is cold, so we wear warm clothes.
In spring the flowers bloom.
Use "In + season" to talk about the weather: In summer… In winter…
Common mistake: Saying "in the summer time" too often; simple "in summer" is enough.
