Subject: Application for English Teacher Position

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the English teacher position advertised on your website. I have three years of teaching experience and a degree in English Literature.

Please find my CV attached. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application in an interview.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Golden rules

  1. Subject line — short and specific.
  2. One topic per email — don't mix requests.
  3. No SMS language — never "plz", "u", "thx" in formal emails.
  4. Proofread before sending — especially names.

✏️ Test Yourself

1. Which greeting is FORMAL?

2. A good subject line is…

3. "I look forward to ___ from you."
